A Case of Huge Ovarian Cyst

Abstract
|
|
|
We report a case of huge ovarian cyst, which we met very rarely today, although a good many reports were found in the past literature.
A 23 - year - old multiparous woman was admitted to the Chosun University hospital on Jan 1, 1991, complaining of the distension of the abdomen and inability to walk.
Her height was 153 cm, body weight 60 kg and abdominal circumference was 91 cm on admission. The tumor was removed surgically after puncture aspiration of cystic contents.
It proved that it had originated from It. ovary. The tumor weighed 13 kg and the volume of cystic contents was 6.5 L.
Pathologic diagnosis was serum cyst adenocarcinoma, It. ovary. Hospital course had been uneventful and the patient was discharged on the post-op 7th day.
